Christine Semeniuk

Political Science Ph.D Student

The Pennsylvania State University

I am a second-year political science graduate student studying American Politics and Methodology. I come to Penn State from Kelowna, British Columbia, where I graduated from UBC Okanagan with a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, and a minor in Mathematics. My substantive interests include state politics, party platforms, and Gubernatorial election dynamics. Methodologically, I work with machine learning and LLMs, text analysis, and time-series models.

Prior to starting my Ph.D, I worked as a data analyst for a small startup, where I led a team of junior analysts coding open-ended survey data for a variety of political and commercial clients.
