Christine Semeniuk

Political Science Ph.D Student

The Pennsylvania State University

I am a first-year graduate student in the Political Science department studying American Politics and Methodology. I come to Penn State from Kelowna, British Columbia, where I graduated from UBC Okanagan with a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, and a minor in Mathematics. My current research interests include state politics, Gubernatorial election dynamics, political ambition and careerism through different levels of office, and open-text content analysis.

Prior to starting my Ph.D, I worked as a data analyst for a small startup, where I led a team of junior analysts coding open-ended survey data for a variety of political and commercial clients. My role in developing boutique LLMs and data solutions is a big influence on my methodological interests.
